It’s the Sunday after Easter, sometimes called ‘Low Sunday’. Why ‘Low’? Well there are several different theories, but maybe it’s because it’s the Sunday when we read about Thomas refusing to believe that Jesus has risen until he sees it with his own eyes. Was that a ‘low’ point in Thomas’s journey of faith? How surprised he must have been when Jesus walked through a wall (both physically and metaphorically) to meet with him!
What about us? What are our low points, and what do we remain sceptical about unless we see or feel for ourselves?
We explore those thoughts together as Patrick leads our communion service at 11am. The service will be shorter than usual as we gather for a Church Meeting following our worship.
