Church Life

As well as our regular Sunday Worship, we have various activities that go on throughout the week in our Church buildings. Everyone is welcome to any of these events. Contact us by email if you would like any further details.

Morning Prayers: Every morning at 9.30am Monday to Friday, members and friends gather on Zoom for 15 minutes of prayer and reflection to start the day. The prayers are led by one of the group, and there are usually responses to join in with. This group started when we were unable to meet together during the Covid pandemic, and has become a very valuable and much-loved part of our Church life. Everyone is welcome to join this friendly and supportive group as and when they can. Email for the joining link.

Bible Study Group: We meet on Zoom every Monday at 7.30pm for 1 hour to study the Bible and listen to what God is saying to us. New members are always welcome – just email for the joining link.

Music Group: We have a small group of musicians and singers who help lead our worship every Sunday. We have a guitarist and accordion player, but more instrumentalists are always welcome. Our repertoire is mostly more modern worship songs, blended with favourite church music that is suited to a small group. Why not watch one of our recent services online for an example of what we play. Rehearsal time is every Thursday at 6.15pm for about an hour – do come and join in!

Coffee Mornings: For many years we have hosted a coffee morning every Saturday in the Glendale Hall (across the road from the Church building). Starting at 10am and running for an hour, these have become a firm fixture in the Wooler social calendar! They are usually run by a local charity or community group to raise funds, and everyone is welcome to come and join in.

The Afternoon Film Show takes place every other Wednesday at 2pm in the Warm Hub (part of our Church building). It’s a great place to catch up on films that you may have missed at the cinema, and is followed by refreshments and a chance to chat. Doors open at 1.30pm and entry is by suggested donation of £2. Films showing are announced on the local Wooler Facebook pages and by poster in the noticeboard.
