As we continue our brief foray into Paul’s description of the Fruits of the Spirit in his letter to the Galatian Church, this week Bill is helping us to consider that ‘Peace’ is one of those fruits.
When we open any newspaper, or tune in to any TV news broadcast, it’s difficult to be confident about the concept of peace in our time. Over recent years and months, it feels as though peace is something we might aspire to, yet it’s also something that the world (and certain world leaders) don’t seem to particularly interested in striving for. What does the Bible have to say about that conundrum, and what can we do when we feel so small and helpless?
In John’s gospel, Jesus tells his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” Do join us as Bill helps us to explore how we might learn to put our trust more firmly in the Prince of Peace, and how in turn we might bear more Spiritual fruit in our lives.
