Wooler URC Livestream – Sunday 16 March 2025

We continue our Lenten journey towards Easter as we spend time dwelling with the Lord’s Prayer. Each week we are taking a different phrase and considering how we follow Jesus’s instruction to “pray like this”.
Diane and Paulette lead our service this week, and help us to think about the second line of this most important of prayers: “Hallowed be your Name”. What does that mean? Although ‘hallow’ is not a word that we hear frequently these days, it is familiar to many as it crops up in the title of a Harry Potter book and film, and of course at the end of October each year ‘Halloween’, or ‘All Hallows’ Eve’ comes around.
This phrase of the prayer compels us to consider what we hold as holy or sacred in our lives. What do we elevate in our lives, and why do we do so?
Do join us as we unpack the meaning behind the prayer, and learn to live the Lord’s Prayer, not just say it.
Everyone is welcome at Wooler URC.
