The Afternoon Film Show Wed 18 December

The Afternoon Film

Wednesday 18 December

in the Warm Hub

Our last film of 2024 is an all-time favourite – ‘Scrooge’ starring Alastair Sim in an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Released in 1951, this is often regarded as the best screen version of the much loved yuletide tale. The ever-versatile Alastair Sim is impeccable as the miser who comes to see the error of his ways through the promptings of the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future.

Everyone is welcome for a classic Christmas showing – 2pm in the Warm Hub, followed by seasonal refreshments.

Why not join us beforehand for a soup lunch, served from 12 noon? As it’s Christmas week, we’re promised roast chestnut soup – yum!
