This Sunday we start our new sermon series: ‘Parables of the Kingdom’.
Jesus came to return all people to the way God wanted us to live; He came to establish the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus described the characteristics of this Kingdom by using parables – stories using pictures of everyday things that His hearers would understand. The parables still convey deep truths today, and with all that’s going on in the world right now, we really need to build God’s Kingdom here. Over the next few weeks we’re going to explore together what it might look like to see God’s Kingdom grow as we look at some of the parables that Jesus used.
Linda starts us off, by looking at the parable of the New Wineskins, and delving into Jesus’ message that ‘things are going to be different…’
