Our final ‘feel-good’ film for January is ‘The Money Pit’, a 1986 outing for Tom Hanks and Shelley Long. The New York couple buy a bargain basement house in the country, but when they try to turn it into their dream home, they realise why it was so cheap. Not only do they have to deal with the structural integrity of the building, but also with the conning and conniving builders and plumbers they employ to rebuild it.
Hopefully your home doesn’t feel like that after the visitation of Storm Éowyn last Friday! This is another great film to enjoy and bring a smile to your face. There’s always great company to watch the movie with, and great tea and cake to share afterwards! Hope to see you there…
