Wooler URC Livestream – Sunday 18 August 2024

We all need things to look forward to. For some, it may be a holiday, a well-earned break from work. Someone else might be looking forward to seeing family or a friend that they haven’t seen for a long, long time. For another, it might be a much-needed operation, or the end of a course of treatment. For us all, it can be a bright light on the horizon that keeps us going.
In today’s ‘Meal with Jesus’, Jesus is sharing a meal with his twelve closest friends, and he explains to them that this will be the last meal they eat together before his death. That may sound gloomy or sad, but Jesus offers them something to look forward to: there will be another meal – the most important one – and they will enjoy it together.
Do join us this Sunday as Fliss helps us to understand more about what we call the ‘last supper’.
