This Sunday, Beccy is reflecting on the Old Testament prophet of Habakkuk. In the book that bears his name, Habakkuk records all the pain, struggles and difficulties that his nation has endured. But at the close, he writes this: “yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.” His book is a song of praise to God. When all the outward evidence points to the contrary, Habakkuk trusts in God. He remembers God’s character and nature and looks at who He is. How can we learn to sing of the strength that God gives us as we face struggles of our own?
Everyone is welcome at Wooler URC.
