Advent is all about preparation – getting ready for something good that’s coming close. Diane and Paulette are guiding us through our service this Sunday, as we think about John the Baptist and how he called people to prepare, get ready, look forward to the coming one. John was wild, unconventional, a voice that stood out from the crowd. Have we tamed our faith too much? Have we become so ‘vanilla’ that we don’t have a distinctive message to offer today? Join us on Sunday as we take a lead from ‘The Proclaimer’ (and I don’t mean one of the Scottish singing brothers from the 1980s!)
