There’s a potential tension in our service this Sunday as we embrace the colour and movement associated with Jesus’ celebratory entry into Jerusalem whilst continuing with our Lenten theme of ‘The rest is worship’. Yet as Jesus entered Jerusalem, he presented a challenge to those with power in order to usher in God’s Kingdom. What are the unjust systems of work and prejudice that continue to enslave people and rob them of meaningful rest in our world today? How can we not only embrace rest for ourselves, but live in such a way that rest is possible for others?
Patrick helps us reconcile those two thoughts, and everyone is welcome to join us online or in the building at 11am.
