More than 200 years ago people who believed passionately that the Bible had something to say for the whole of humanity founded Bible Society. Today, the Bible Society still share that vision. When we read the Bible we find out more about God, more about ourselves and more about the world. That’s why we want to share it. We invite people to discover the Bible’s message for themselves, even if they’ve never thought the Bible was for them. We want them to read it, be excited by it and find their lives changed by it.
For many years Wooler URC has supported the Bible Society in their work of making God’s Word known and available throughout the world. One of the ways we show our support is by holding a coffee morning each year to raise vital funds that allow that work to continue.
This year’s coffee morning is on Saturday 7 December at 10am in the Glendale Hall. Joyce Donnovan is organising the event, and would be delighted to hear from anyone who can help on the day, or maybe bake a cake or provide a raffle or tombola prize. Please contact Joyce on 077620 127691 or joycedonnovan@gmail.com – and of course, don’t forget to turn up on the day!
