On this last Sunday before Christmas, Fliss and Jackie lead our service in amongst the trees that have filled our church over the weekend tree festival, and reflect on the living nativity that has filled the streets of Wooler. It’s been a busy weekend, and we may well ask “Why? Why go to all this effort, why all this activity, why expend all this energy re-telling a story that is so familiar?” The answer is simple. Because the miracle of Jesus born among us is a gift of love – pure love – and that gift needs to be made known to and accepted by everyone. When we share in all this activity, we are simply sharing the love of God with those around us. Do join us this Sunday as we celebrate that great gift of love.
