Christmas is the most joyful time of the year for so many – but let’s not forget the reason why. We celebrate the birth of Jesus – God’s own Son born to save us. Everyone is welcome to join us at our services over the festive period.
On Christmas Eve, our Candlelight Service starts at 6pm and is a wonderful time of carols, readings and a Christmas story that helps us capture the true meaning of Christmas. Our service usually lasts for just over an hour, and the church looks delightful and so ‘Christmassy’ when lit by hundreds of candles. There’s plenty to join in with as well as some beautiful music to listen to.
On Christmas Day, we have a short family service at 10am. Lasting for a half an hour or so, it’s a great time for families to enjoy together. Sometimes younger folk bring along a present they’ve opened to show everyone, and it’s also a chance to request a favourite Christmas carol that perhaps you haven’t sung this year.
